Who publishes Rionux

Everything on Rionux — the calculators, the glossary, and the guides — is published by the Rionux Editorial Team, working as one accountable group rather than under individual bylines. Rionux is independently operated and small, and we would rather tell you exactly how the content is made than attach a name and a photograph to it.

We deliberately do not present anyone here as a licensed financial adviser, and we make no claims about credentials or professional designations. Rionux is educational: it explains how the arithmetic of investing works. It never tells you what to do with your money, because it has no way of knowing your circumstances.

How the content is produced

Every guide and glossary entry starts from widely accepted, standard financial definitions and is written to teach one concept clearly, with a worked example using real numbers. Outcomes are always framed as results "under these assumptions" — never as forecasts or expectations. Where a topic involves a genuine trade-off, we present both sides and decline to name a winner.

Comparison guides and definitional entries are kept deliberately separate: the glossary defines a concept, and the guides help you decide between options. That split is a documented product rule, not an accident.

How the numbers are checked

Each calculator is a deterministic model: the same inputs always produce the same result. Every engine has unit tests covering its formulas, edge cases such as zero and very long horizons, and an assertion that it can never emit a broken value. Tools are checked against hand-computed scenarios before release.

Figures shown inside written content are reconciled against the live calculators, so a number in a guide and the same number in a tool cannot drift apart. What each model does — and, just as importantly, what it deliberately does not model — is documented on our methodology page.

How we handle corrections

If we find an error, we fix it and update the page's "Updated" date rather than quietly editing it. Corrections are welcome and we would rather hear about a mistake than leave it in place — the contact address is on our disclaimer page.

Independence

Rionux is independent and currently carries no advertising or affiliate links. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed clearly and it will not affect the neutrality of the educational content or imply a recommendation.
